KISD has received each campus's accountability rating from the Texas Education Agency, and Ellison High School earned the Academically Acceptable rating for 2008-2009. A lot of hard work by teachers and students brought about academic gains in many areas, and we will strive to build on that success in 09-10.

I read the article about the businesses and H.S. dropouts. I think it would be beneficial on some level but should be examined as a viable plan. Look at as many variables as possible. Bottom line ... The work force that is going to allow people to be "gainfully" employed is looking for people with more education not less.
